Robert L. Laurent, Jr.
Chief Executive Officer and President

Mr. Laurent joined ETC in 2011 as Chief Financial Officer, was elected as President in November 2013 and named Chief Executive Officer and Director in September 2014. From 1980 to 2008, he was with Fedders Corporation where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 1987 to 1998 and from 2004 to 2008. From 1998 through 2004, Mr. Laurent served as Executive Vice President – Acquisitions and Alliances. Mr. Laurent was a private consultant from 2008 through 2010. Mr. Laurent received a B.S. in Accounting from Villanova University.

He is a member of the Aerospace Medical Association and a Director of the Aerospace Medical Association Foundation.

Timothy Kennedy, CPA, CMA
Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Kennedy joined ETC in June 2023.   He has extensive experience, including ten years of advisory experience, six years as a Global Controller for a medical device manufacturer, and four years as a Chief Financial Officer for a mid-market manufacturer.  From 2012 to 2019, Mr. Kennedy was with Johnson & Johnson, from Director of SOX Compliance to Finance Director.  From 2002 to 2012, Mr. Kennedy was with Synthes Inc., where he served as Global Corporate Controller for six years and Director of Mergers and Acquisitions for four.  Mr. Kennedy was with Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP from 1997 to 2002 and with Deloitte &Y Touche LLP from 1992 to 1997.  Mr. Kennedy, CPA, CMA has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting from Drexel University.

Thomas Loughlin
Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Loughlin became Chief Operating Officer in 2007. Prior thereto, Mr. Loughlin was V.P. – Manufacturing since 1991 and Vice President of Operations in 1997. After starting with the company in 1973, Mr. Loughlin had various positions in manufacturing before becoming Production manager in 1985 and then Plant Manager in 1992. Mr. Loughlin studied at Pennsylvania State University, and attended courses provided by the Manufacturers Association of Delaware Valley, including purchasing, inventory control, traffic management, and vendor negotiations. He is designated a Certified Inventory and Purchasing Manager by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), a Certified Purchasing Manager by the Institute for Supply Management (ISM), and a certified Project Management Professional.

Alper Kus
Senior Vice President

Mr. Kus was promoted to Vice President of Aircrew Training Systems in 2008 and manages the ATS business unit. He is also on the Supervisory Board of ETC’s Polich subsidiary (ETC-PZL). Prior thereto, he was ETC’s V.P. of Software Development where he directed software development efforts for all business units at ETC and continues to do so today. Mr. Kus joined ETC in 1997 as Senior Software Developer and Liaison Officer working with project teams to ensure delivery of timely software services and products that integrated heavily with the hardware platforms ranging from flight simulators to medical devices. He performed system engineering duties to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction. Mr. Kus received a B.S. in Computer Engineering & Information Science from Bilkent University-Turkey. Additionally, he has taken graduate level classes on Image Processing at the Middle East Technical Institute, and MBA classes Baskent University.
