ETC Simulation to Showcase New CBRNE Scenarios at IAEM-EMEX 2012

SOUTHAMPTON, PA, October 26, 2012 – Environmental Tectonics Corporation’s (“ETC” or the “Company”) Simulation Division, located in Orlando, FL, is exhibiting its Advanced Disaster Management Simulator (ADMS(TM)) at the International Association of Emergency Manager’s (IAEM) Emergency Management and Homeland Security Expo (EMEX). The show is from October 29 through October 31, 2012, in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

ETC Simulation – booth #424 – will be offering live demonstrations to provide attendees with a closer look at what makes ADMS a unique simulation training system and how the simulator enhances Emergency Management and Homeland Security training. ADMS True-Simulation technology provides trainees with a most realistic and immersive experience which results in a steep learning curve. Embedded physics and artificial intelligence simulation adds to the training realism, which supports a direct transfer of lessons learned to real-world command and control. Any organization can benefit from ADMS training as it will optimize training effectiveness and reduce overall costs.

New training capabilities will be unveiled at this year’s EMEX including scenarios involving radiological releases, dirty bombs and industrial incidents at chemical factories. These new scenarios allow training for CBRNE and HAZMAT incidents in a realistic and safe way. Additional demonstrations will showcase new flooding, railway accidents and crowd control situations.

Full system demonstrations will also be taking place at the ADMS Innovation Center, also located in Orlando. Attendees will be able to experience ADMS in the Immersion Theater which includes a 180 degree screen, multiple command stations and an Integrated Operations Center.

About ADMS
ADMS(TM) is a high-fidelity Virtual Reality Simulation Training Platform that comprises multiple products including Incident Command training from technical to strategic level (ADMS-Command), emergency response and force protection specific to a military environment (ADMS-Airbase), driver training and vehicle operation (ADMS-ARFF and ADMS-Drive) and multiple level police coordination for crowd management and riot control (ADMS-Control). ETC’s signature True Simulation Technology blends physics-based simulation, embedded artificial intelligence, accurate animations, photo-realistic graphics, ambient sounds, vehicle controls, and motion platforms to totally immerse trainees in the exercise. ADMS enables first responders and emergency managers to prepare at all levels of response in a safe, economical and environmentally-conscious way.
